I was still sleepy when an hour later I knocked at Tony's door. He opened, mysteriously smiling. Tony was 45 years old, of average height, a little above average in appearance. As with most Americans he looked younger than his age, especially to Russian ladies. I liked his character a lot. He often laughed and I laughed with him. He was an optimist and tolerant of life's difficulties. He had become interested in medicine and had begun to take special medical courses. During the socials he was very popular among the Russian ladies, but was only interested in those who were connected with medicine. He wanted to start his own business with his wife in the future.
