Imagine my surprise when I saw him after three long years again at the Russian ladies socials. Looking a little thinner, or just 3 years older…hard to tell, I recognized him immediately and requested to work with him again. At the very beginning of the first social he suddenly jumped off his seat, ran through numerous ladies to the opposite side of the room and started talking to…that very same young Russian lady. Not so young anymore and definitely not so "proud-Mary". She now wore the countenance of a serious lady on a mission. She quickly accepted his invitation to come to our table. The professor opened his bag and put mint candies on the table.

"When I was buying these candies I thought about you. Believe it or not, I was thinking about you all three years, and hoping to see you again." He told me later that she was the main reason he signed up to take this Russian Ladies romance tour. "Shall we go out tonight?"
Three years had really changed that lady! I can't say she looked older or less beautiful, no, she was still extremely pretty, but she had changed a lot. She had become quieter, more focused and calmer. And the way they were looking at each other after five minutes anybody would have thought that they had fallen in love.
